Energy bar manufacturer Clif Bar are to sponsor a new, Women’s only, mountain bike team.
The ‘Luna Chix’, with Marla Streb confirmed and
Alison Dunlap a possible team member, will race the DH and XC circuits next year. As well as hunting for podium positions wherever possible, the Luna Chix will promote awareness and fund raising of womens issues such as breast cancer. This mirrors the mission statement of peace, love, harmony, environmental concerns and teepees at the races which we heard from the Global race team last year.
