As you may have noticed, HM the Q is doing the rounds in Canada at the moment. So far she’s had little contact with the Canadian bike scene (if she hucked any ‘Shore drops we think we’d have heard about it), but that all changed when former champion cyclist Louis Garneau ambled over at a VIP lunch, put his arm round the Queen’s shoulder and got his wife to take a snap for the family album.

According to Ananova Buck House officials were “open-mouthed” at the apparent breach of royal protocol, but the Queen herself didn’t seem to mind.
