The 2010 Chain Reaction Cycles MTB Marathon Series is set to reach its conclusion on the weekend of September 18-19 with a double-header in Ruthin, Wales.
The Exposure Lights Big Night Out night marathon, round four of the series, follows a 44km route, with 1,350m of climbing, over forestry track, single track and short sections of tarmac.
But there’s no rest for the wicked and the series will reach its finale the next day when the main Ruthin marathon presents riders with four routes to choose from.
The 30km mini marathon (1,000m of climbing), 55km half marathon (1,900m of climbing) and 73km middle marathon (2,500m of climbing) all lie in the shadow of the 92km full marathon – with an almighty 3,000m of climbing.
The course climbs up onto both Moel Arthur and Moel Famau, with spectacular views of the surrounding Clwydians and north Wales coast.
