Former multiple national champion Nick Craig swept away a record field to win a third successive Isle of Man End2End Mountain Bike Challenge.
The spectacular Manx terrain – covering 46 miles of mountains and valleys – attracted just shy of 1,400 entries, with riders from as far afield as Scandinavia, Israel and Australia.
Former Olympian Craig stopped the clock in two hours, 57 minutes, winning by just under five minutes from Isle of Man rider and former professional Elliot Baxter.
Cheri Mills of Wrexham won the women’s race, while Jackie Lee of Port Erin in the Isle of Man was runner up.
Jeff Corkish from Isle of Man Tourism said: “This is another brilliant example of public sector, private sector and sports communities working together to achieve excellence. Team Isle of Man at its finest.”
