If you have more fun on your bike off the ground than on it, get yourself down to Newport this weekend. welshside (no, it’s not meant to have a capital W) are launching their season of events with a dedicated BMX / BSX / DH / dirtjump weekender in South Wales.

It kicks off with a BMX and MTB jam at Home Farm trails, Caerleon at around 3-4pm on Saturday 15th June. In the evening they’ll be heading for the OTT club which they’ve hired for the night to make sure you get the right assortment of noises. They’ll be showing footage from the forthcoming welshsideBMX video and from the Fort William world cup amongst others. There are a few DJ’s lined up and it “can be as chilled or as mad as you like”.

Once you’ve recovered from that there’s a DH trip to the Wentwood DH track or Dirt and BMX riders can hit the local trails or Newport skate park.
