The Finnish agriculture ministry has got locals ‘lapp’ing up their new advice on how to stop reindeer getting infected with foot and mouth from returning travellers.

They advise anyone returning or visitng from an infected country to scrub themselves down in a sauna, and then steam clean clothing and shoes in the sauna for two hours to kill off any traces of infection they may be carrying.

So if you’ve been carousing with cattle this weekend crank your heating up to full belt and boil yourself in the comfort of your own bathtub.
