News of yet more trail building activity reaches us, this time from deepest darkest Surrey. There’s already quite a trail network in the area around Dorking, although some of it isn’t strictly legit. This latest project is entirely above board and in conjunction with the Forestry Commission.

The key facts are these. Weekend of 9/10 November, between 9.30 and 5 both days. The meeting place is at the Summer Lightning trailhead just off Wolvens Lane. You need to let the organisers know you’re coming (and they can also tell you exactly where that is…) – either email Bec on [email protected], call 01306 887923 (no earlier than two weeks beforehand, please) or just drop in to Nirvana Cycles in Westcott.

Builders are kindly requested to bring their own spade, fork, rake or favourite digging/shaping tool…
