This weekend (19/20 July) sees the Midland Championships and Round 3 of the Midland XC Series. There’s been a venue change – the racing was originally going to be at Cannock Chase, but will now be at Catton Hall. Catton has hosted an NPS XC race this year, and the Midland course will be similar, “with the addition of a big water splash” say the organisers.

Entries on the line only, so not much need for forward planning for this one. The course will be open for practice on Saturday and racing starts at 10am on Sunday. Camping is available from Friday for a fiver for the weekend.
