One of the most popular enduros on the calendar, the howies Dyfi Enduro, will be open for entry at 10am on Tuesday 8 February.
The event limits entrants to 750 (100 more than last year) and such is its popularity that you can expect it to sell out reasonably quickly, in fact last year it sold out in just 4-hours! So if it’s an event you have in your mind to ride this year (and you really should), then make sure to head over to the Summit Cycles website next week and get entered.
The date for the actual event to stick in your diary is Sunday 1 May. The event is now in its 10th year, and as before starts in Machynlleth town centre, and follows a big 60km loop into the Dyfi forests.
“It has long unrelenting fire road climbs, and long rough technical descents, finishes deep in the forest, and riders then spin back into town on lanes to event HQ for (hopefully) a prize and a coveted finisher’s mug,” the organisers tell us.
I first rode this event way back in 2005, and you can relive that ride in my report here.
