It’s that time of year, preparation for the summers big enduro events have been finalised and details are now emerging, including the latest from the Gorrick team, with news of the Gorrick 100 Enduro and Torq in your Sleep.
Gorrick 100 Enduro – Sunday 1 May 2011
The South’s long-established Gorrick 100 event takes place, as usual, at Swinley Forest, Berks one of the finest areas for mountain biking in the country. You can be sure of a superb lap of the forest as usual.
The challenge is not fixed by time, but by the number of 10 mile laps that you choose to ride, either 1 (Fun/Taster) 2, 3, 4, 5 or 7. You can pre-enter online until Tuesday 26 April.
Entry on the day will be available at this event, but you may have to queue.
Gorrick Torq in your Sleep – Sunday 28 August 2011
Based once again at Minley Manor, Hants with riding for Solos, Pairs or Teams (remember team members don’t have to be confirmed until the day) over 12 hours from noon to midnight, you can expect a superb 8 mile figure of 8 course featuring the Bridge to Nowhere, a huge marquee and arena with loads of trade stands and music.
Free trackside camping is available from early Saturday until Monday so why not make a weekend of it, as Quaver catering will have their marquee on site through the whole weekend.
As in previous years entries will be capped, so don’t leave it too late – there is no entry on the day at this event.
