The tenth Mountain Mayhem looks set to be the biggest and best ever. The big news is the announcement that T-Mobile and Giant, already huge supporters of cycling, have signed up as joint title sponsors. That puts Mayhem properly in the big time – Giant is obviously a big player in the bike industry, but T-Mobile is properly massive, with 16 million customers in the UK and 80 million worldwide. Landing this kind of deal for a mountain bike event is something of a coup whichever way you look at it.
The problem is, if you fancy taking part, you’re probably too late for getting your entry form in. Mountain Mayhem traditionally fills up within the first day of entry forms being released; such is the popularity and demand for places.
Last year we gave five readers places on an exclusive place on our works team, with bikes, kit, full spannering assistance and more. This year though we’re planning to top last year’s competition with support from some of the biggest names in the industry. But you’re going to have to keep checking Bikemagic because we’re not launching the competition just yet, so watch this space…
