New signing Wendy Simms
Tracey Moseley winning another World Cup title
The Kona team had a good year in 2006, with Tracey Moseley winning another World Cup title, managing to finish on the podium at every round and top that with three wins. Tracy will stay with Kona for another year, and is said to have set her sights on victory at the Fort William World Championships.
Tracy will again be joined by the 2x World Champion and French National Elite DH Champion, Fabien Barrel. He’ll be hoping for a better season than 2006, where a broken foot put him out of most of the season.
Most of the team riders will stay on. There’s Ryan Trebon, current USA Elite XC National Champion, Barry Wicks focusing on the US National Mountain Bike Series and Kamil Tatarkovic, the teams 4X specialist.
But newly slipping on a Kona jersey is Wendy Simms. The Elite Canadian XC racer has put in many strong performances, such as a 4th at Sea Otter, and is focusing on getting a place on the Canadian Olympic team for the 2008 games.
