The first 24 hour race of the season, CLIC24, is rapidly approaching, and while Mike and I are busy getting the miles in (there’s still time to sponsor us), here’s the latest word from the organisers.

Big news is that CLIC24 will this year (subject to contract) be sponsored by energy drink Relentless. You won’t need to worry about bringing your own energy drinks with 500ml FREE to every rider and plenty more on tap through the weekend. If you’ve ridden CLIC24 before you’ll know all about the excellent, freshly prepared food from a choice of hot meals on the Friday evening when you arrive, through to porridge and bacon rolls for breakfast, to home-baked cakes – you just have to sample it to know what we mean. Our head chef is looking for new ideas for the menu so if you’ve got any special requests please drop us email and we’ll see what we can create.

As CLIC24 grows each year we attract more interest from the local biking community: Bike City in Wells will be providing the essential mechanic and servicing tent; Lumicycle will keep your lights charged and ready through the night; Bad Ass Bikes will be donating a top end frame and various accessories and gear for you to try and win in the raffle; Shotgun Willy will kit you out with extreme performance clothing should the temperature dip; Sarah Redpath and her team will be here again easing your aching muscles with top quality sports massage – and after the event if you fancy getting away from it all then bike tour specialists Saddle Skeddadle will be on hand to help whisk you away to other great trails around the world.

Finally, Studio Six will be on hand to capture the memories of CLIC24 2007. Their photographers will be on the course on the Saturday snapping you as you ride by and top quality images will be available to purchase from the main marquee. Studio Six have come up with the great idea of Team Shots, a chance for your team to have their picture taken together before you get all dusty and sweaty. Simply pop along to the main marquee with your bikes on the Saturday morning and ensure you have an image to keep to go with your great memories of CLIC24.
