Core Bike Show 2012: Bionicon, SealSkinz, Cove, Yeti, Formula, E13, Nukeproof and SDG

Another dump of photos from the Core Bike Show. If you missed our first highlights articles, you can read it here.

On this page we’ve got some more interesting products, including a couple more chain devices (we’re really seeing this as a growth area for 2012), and Cove, one of Bikemagic’s fave bike brands, is now offering complete bikes.

Finally a chance to see the Nukeproof Mega. It’s the first time the company has offered complete bikes, which we can only see being a good thing.

The 150mm bike is perfect for all-mountain, trail riding and enduro events (the proper meaning of the word) and of course the Megavalanche race it’s named after.

With the increasing popularity of 2×10 and 1×10 setups on everything from downhill/gravity bikes to cross-country/trail rigs, we’re see loads more chain devices popping up. This is the new TRS+ Dual from E13 for 2×10 drivetrains.

Formula have unleashed an all-new disc brake. Called the RO, it uses a new compact calliper design, it’s 18% smaller compared to the previous top-end calliper design, and weighs just 361g per end.

No it’s not a new fair ground game, it’s a gathering of Yeti’s on the Silverfish stand.

Couple of new things from SealSkinz (yes, they don’t just make socks). This is the Road Leather Glove and before you throw a tantrum about us including a roadie product, we reckon this will suit us mountain bikers just fine. It’s soft lined and very thin, so allows a good range of freedom, yet keeps your hands dry.

Bionicon launcehed the C.Guide chain device at Eurobike last year. It’s a small chainstays mounted device that increase the tension on the chain. Remember the DCD anyone?

The 2012 Bionicon Alma 160mm of travel with a clever geometry/travel adjustment feature. The forks have been overhauled and now boast easier maintenance; twin grease ports at the top of the lower legs makes it easy to inject fresh grease into the bushings. Also added is a 15mm bolt-thru axle.
