Cotic Simple
The Simple was Cotic’s steel singlespeed offering, but for 2012 it’s been overhauled and now sports a pair of 29in wheels.
What makes it special?
Based on the Solaris that we featured recently, the Simple is aimed at those who yearn for the unbridled simplicity of a singlespeed, free of potential things to go wrong. Its tubeset uses an Ovalform top tube which along with the 44mm head tube keeps the frame laterally stiff.
A zero stack top cup headset keeps the bars low. There’s no capability for a front mech at all, but interestingly there are hose clips for Shimano’s Alfine. Oh, and it’ll take a dropper post.
