At the annual Sea Otter Festival over in the sunny states, SRAM announced the latest addition to its drivetrain lineup, in the shape of the new veru shiny silver X0.
As well as the new finish, SRAM will also add new gearing options to its X7, X9 and X0 groupsets for 2012. Already offered is 28-42 and 26-39, but a new 22-36 and 24-38 will expand the choice for those who want lower gearing, or if you live in the mountains.
“It’s not just weight-conscious cross-country riders using SRAM 2×10,” says Ron Ritzler, SRAM’s external drivetrain category manager. “It has quickly become the choice for all performance minded mountain bik- ers. With that in mind, we’re adding two new 2X10 gearing ranges, 38/24 and 36/22.”
