Quick update from the tour.
At the 44km mark, Lance is in the lead (by 40 seconds), but get this – his time at the split is 48’23”. I make that an average of just under 34mph! F********kin ‘Ell!
On a smooth flat road I can sprint up to that
speed, but can’t hold it for more than a little while (i.e. way less than a minute probably). Not human.
