According to the French sport newspaper "L’equipe",
Emmanuel Magnien (Francaise des Jeux) a member of the French Olympic team, was tested on July 18 in Morzine.



The analysis revealed that an intramuscular cortisone injection had been made to
him before the departure of the Tour to treat an allergy to pollen.



However this kind of corticoid injection is prohibited by the international Union
cyclist (UCI) even accompanied – as was the case for Magnien – by a therapeutic justification.
