Hero of the day must be Peter Noble, a cyclist who blocked
a blockade in Deansgate, Manchester. The full story is on ananova.com right now,
but we’d like to applaud Peter for making a stand.



Peter protested that the country shouldn’t be brought to its knees by the truck drivers
protesting. And he’s quite right. The sooner tax on petrol is increased to a level
in line with the amount of damage it does, and the sooner diesel is taxed even higher
(as it gives people asthma because of the huge particulate levels) the better.
