Sunday 29 October will see the Woolybacks heading North to the Lake Distict, for the Coniston and Grizedale ride, a club classic. Ridden earlier this year, in pelting rain, many of the tracks were submerged under water, and everyone is hoping for kinder weather on this next attempt.
This ride led to the crash of the year so far, when a new rider to the club took a log bridge in Lawson Park, 2 miles from the end, a wee bit too fast, and turned while crossing the logs. Result, 2 days in Lancaster Hospital for neurological observation. Everyone will be a bit cautiious on Oli’s Bridge this time, specially if there is any moisture about.
Anyone interested in this ride, e-mail [email protected].
