For the 5th time the West Drayton Mountain Bike/Beyond Mountain Bikes XC race heads to Black Park on March 15.

The organisers have already received plenty of entries, including Kim Hurst, Rachael Denman, Jackie Roberts and Martin Turton, and anyone else hoping to race has until 12 March to pre-enter – entries on the day will be accepted but subject to a surcharge.

Despite lacking hills, the course is creative in its use of twisting singletrack with some fast fire road sections that should make it an enjoyable but tough course. There are categories for all abilities, including a beginners race. For the fastest in the singlespeed class there’s a crate of beer on offer.
