When former On-One chap Brant Richards launched his new venture recently, it was called Shedfire, and still is. He wasn’t planning to put out Shedfire-branded frames and parts, though – Shedfire is the design company, with products likely to appear with all sorts of weird and wonderful names on them.
Which brings us to this morning’s (well, yesterday evening’s really, but we were having our tea when the press release arrived) announcement of Tweak Bikes. Or possibly “tweak bikes” – we’re as yet unsure of the capitalisation, and may therefore mix and match for the hell of it.
The first tweak Bikes product will be the Ragley Ti frame that we had a peek at the other week.
“The Ragley is scheduled to hit the factory floor at Lynskey Performance in Chattanooga on Friday. With fingers crossed, we should see production product for sale in four weeks or less,” said Richards from his (not currently aflame) shed in Calderdale.
There’s also some stuff about dried meat products which we can only assume is for real given that the press release came out on 31 March rather than the following day. We’ll have to wait and see on that one.
Tweak Bikes stuff will be distributed to the world through Hotlines. Illy Anastasi, Hotlines General Manager said:
“We are extremely excited to be given the opportunity to distribute what will be a very unique and important brand for now and the future. Hotlines looks forward to working with Brant to develop tweak into one of the UK’s leading brands. If the Ragley is anything to go by then we are in for some great times ahead!”
