Final preparations are in place for the Wild Boar 24 hour race on 17/18 May at Grizedale Forest, sponsored by The North Face.
A 10 mile course is said to offer ‘technical features’ but there’s nothing too daunting, so it should suit all levels of abilities, as well as offering a good mix of forest terrain with some fantastic Lakeland views to keep your mind occupied.
The event centre has now moved from Moor Top down to Bowkerstead Campsite just south of Satterthwaite village. This new location allows for for easier access for competitors and a lot more space.
SIS will be providing nutrition for the duration of the event. Ay Up Lights are offerign a set of their lights for the fastest lap. Hope Technology will be around all weekend with advice and tech support on Hope related products, as well as manning the bike wash. Wilfs will look after catering, providing hot and cold food throughout the event.
This event slipped beneath the BM radar, so we’d imagine it’s a bit late to enter. There’s nothing to stop you from popping along to lend your support if you’re in the area though. They’ll be showing The Collective and ROAM films on a big screen on Friday night.
