The popular South West-based Soggy Bottom series returns to Newnham Park for the sixth season of XC races, with the second of three dates taking place this Sunday (18 January).
The series offers a great day of XC racing at a venue that offers good facilities and always challenging and interesting courses. And this year the series see the return of the Bottom Border Battle between the best 10 riders from Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset.
The races are hosted at the Newnham Park Shooting ground which provides hard standing car parking, flushing loos, hot water on tap, indoor cafe/registration and in addition the race package includes electronic lap timing with some dodgy commentary giving instant position/time updates.
Each course will be different and around 3.5 miles with lap amounts varying across the categories.
