The latest issue of mountain bike magazine Shred is released today in a never-to-be-repeated online launch exclusive.
Editor Steve Toze said: “Normally we like to give our loyal subscribers the first glimpse of Shred Mag in its printed form but with our new iPhone and iPad App now available, and its our 15th birthday, we thought we’d let Shred 55 be a rebellious teenager and go live online first.”
The new issue has Canadian XC racing star Geoff Kabush as the cover story, other features include action from the recent 24 Hours of Exposure, a cheeky interview with a very tired Matt Page, riding and racing from Long Mynd and Sherwood Pines and tests on the new Mondraker Factor RR Ltd and Saracen Kili Cromo.
Shred Magazine are also pleased to announce their new Shred App. “Our app is basically a reboxed version of the app used for London’s Metro newspaper, to be honest it needs a little bit of work but it’s a great way to pull down Shred Magazine for free and you can check out all our back issues too. From a design point of view it opens a whole load of opportunities which as designers we will be experimenting further with over the coming issues”. An Android App is already in construction for release later this summer.
If you haven’t got an iPad and can’t stand trying to read a magazine on an iPhone, and we don’t really blame you, then you pick up a copy of Shred 55 for FREE at this weekend’s Dalby Mountain Bike World Cup or you can subscribe at www.shredmagazine.com. Shred is also available for free at most major XC races nationwide and core bike stores.
