We’ve just got a bunch of information of things South Western from Steve Toze over at Shred magazine.

The first event for your calendar is the Dartmoor Bike Show in Tavistock. Steve tells us: “Some of the major brands in UK biking have confirmed attendance and event will incluce the first ever Monkey Bike World Champs for Charidy and also an indoor speed trials contest in association with the crew at Shred and Silverfish”.

Out in the open at Broadway House in Cheddar it’s the enduro relay of the Hell of the West XC team race on May 18th/19th.

Described as “Basically the 24-hour race without the 24-hour bit”, there’s 6 hour team relay on the Saturday, an individual time trial on Saturday evening with time bonuses and penalties. This is followed by the usual Cheddar bar-side carnage then Sunday morning racing continues at 10 with a 4-hour team relay race.

There will be various different categories, including SingleSpeed and Old Gits (average age 40+) with sponsors so far including Shred magazine and South Western suspension fettler Tim Flooks.
