IMBA knows more about sustainable trail building than anyone. A lot of that knowledge has come from working in the wetness of Wales – if you can build a trail that lasts there, you can probably build one anywhere. Wales-developed techniques are now firmly established in IMBA’s trailbuilding methods and are being applied elsewhere.
All of which preamble leads us on to the visit to Northern Ireland of IMBA trail building consultant Joey Klein. He’s visited before, and this time he’ll be holding two one-day trail building workshops. They’re open to all but you’ll have to pre-book.
The workshops are on Saturday 12 April at House of Sport, Upper Malone Road, Belfast and Monday 14 April at Belvoir Forest Headquarters, Belfast. Both workshops start at 9.30. Tea and coffee is provided. Either take your own lunch or you can book lunch for a fiver – the workshop itself is free.
