The XC course for June’s Fort William UCI World Cup round is all but completed. The 9-11km loop (depending on which bits they decide to use) mixes fast fireroady bits with swoopy singletrack bits and the odd rock drop to add a little spice. You can read a description here. It’s called the Witch’s Trail, and will remain as a permanent fixture at Leanachan Forest after the event.
Want to ride it for yourself? You’re welcome to do so now, to help to get it bedded in for the big day. And on the weekend itself, Real People can enter the World Cup Chaser (Sunday 1 June) held over exactly the same course that the pros will have raced on.
