Further to your article on the Welsh IMBA trail building days, Joey and
Kathy have just spent two days here in Ae Forest.15/17th Feb. They were
accompanied by Judd. The course was organised by Karl Bartlett, Forest
Ranger at Mabie Forest for the F.C. Attending the 2 day course were FC
workers from all over Scotland and North England, members of the local bike
club Full Mental/Riks Bike Shed and Rik himself and his new employee Andy.

Anyone interested in trail building and get the chance to attend one of
these courses should take it. These three guys know there trail building and
are excellent at communicating in a clear and simple manner.

Unfortunately we could not complete the practicle aspect of the course due
to about 12in of SNOW fall overnight and morning. The GC offices closed at
lunch time due to the poor road conditions.

Judd, Joey and Kathy are heading towards Red Bull country for another 2 days
before heading back to the States.

Hope the weather holds and they enjoyed their detour via the Lake District
