Entry forms are now available from a variety of sources for the 2005 Merida 100 MTB Marathon Enduro Series. If you were at the Real Ale Wobble last weekend you’ve probably already got one, as they were being liberally distributed at said event. Otherwise you can get one by sending an SAE to Merida 100 MTB Marathon Enduro Series (although we expect that just “Merida 100” will work too), John Lloyd, Builth Wells Cycles, Smithfield Road, Builth Wells, Powys, LD2 3AN. Or of course there’s the on-line entry on the MTB-Marathon website. You’ll need to send a cheque to complete your entry. Apparently quite a few people have attempted to enter using the 2004 details – you might be asked to re-enter to ensure that all the information is correct.
On the subject of the site, it’s being updated for the new series with reports from this year, a reworked training planner and various other bits and bobs. There’ll also be a new edition of the MTB-Marathon magazine for 2005, complete with details of all the events and tips and advice for getting the most out of them. The Merida 100 team is looking for contributions and is inviting past participants to send 3-500 word stories connected in any way with MTB Marathon events – people, places, bikes, scenery, whatever. Send items to [email protected] – there’s a free entry to one of the 2005 events for any that are published.
Enquiries can be sent to that email address too, or call John Lloyd on 01982 552923.
