Coed y Brenin will once again host the Mawddach Gold Rush on 7 March 2010, an event which aims to raise money for charity and is now in its third year.
The event will take place over 3 laps of part of the Tarw trail at Coed y Brenin with one section in reverse of normal trail usage. Last years winner and 2nd placed riders are already signed up for this year as are many others who have supported this charity event over it’s first two years.
Once again. Wales air ambulance – who were called out to last years event – will be a beneficiary along with other charities that are supported by Rotary, the organisers of the event.
As with last year, families will be catered for at the Forest centre with a shuttle bus running regularly between the forest centre and the race finish area. All entrants also stand the chance of winning the £100.00 “Gold nugget” prize hidden somewhere in the gold field that is Coed y Brenin.
Black sheep sports are doing the chip timing again and elite riders will be given priority at the head of the staggered start. Full details including map and profile of course and access to online or postal entry forms on event website www.mawddachgoldrush.org.uk
