The Marin Roughride takes place on 13 June and promises to offer more of the laidback atmosphere and quality trails it has since the first event took place way back in 2003.
The organisers tell us that the event will, in its eighth year, be offering a choice of a 75km or 48km route across the unspoilt moorland of East Radnorshire in the Welsh Marches, with no farmland or forestry trails it’s natural all the way.
The longer of the two routes packs in about 7,000ft of climbing, and with most of the climbing coming early in the ride it should be a fast and exciting finish. If you can’t decide which route to do now, it doesn’t matter as you can make that decision on the day during the ride – both routes use the same early sections.
Bicycle Smithy will be supplying mechanical aid and spare parts at the start.
