For all of you based in London and the South East, the Hell of the North Downs is taking place this Sunday, 12th May.

After falling victim to foot and mouth last year, the ride is back on track for 2002 with an 80k ride that whisks you quickly out of London and onto the bridleways and singletrack of the North Downs with “rapid descents and small-ringed climbs”.

The ride kicks off from Herne Hill Velodrome, (Burbage Road, SE24) between 9 and 10am, and the plan is to make it back to the velodrome in time for a replenishing pasta lunch and a bit of a rest.
