With summer here more and more riders are enjoying the fruits of the Redlands builders’ labours. If you haven’t joined in with the trailblazing efforts yet there’s another chance to do so this Sunday as work continues on a new downhill section to link the Regurgitator climb with the start of the existing Summer Lightning trail.
The beer-related moniker Waggledance was coined after a nest of bees forced a slight diversion to the route, but the new twisty hairpins should prove a fun addition to the ever-growing network of trails in this popular riding spot. As an added incentive sandwiches are available to fuel those digging muscles but make sure you’re there at 10am to place your order for lunchtime. If you want to ride as well as dig please feel free to bring your bike too and join a ride which will leave the building area after lunch.
As usual a limited supply of tools is available but it’s always best to bring your own if you can. If you can’t make Sunday’s session there’s now a regular Tuesday night building session, meeting at 7pm in Coldharbour every week. For more information on all building events please contact Rebecca Milbourn on 01306 887923 or see www.justridingalong.com/building/.
