We had this tragic but undoubtedly curious story forwarded to us from ABC News by Carlton from Bike Biz.

“Identical twin brothers, aged 71, were killed a mere two hours apart in identical bicycle accidents along the same road. The first brother was killed early Tuesday by a truck after he had gone out cycling on the west coast of Finland. Two hours later, before police had even had a chance to identify the victim, his brother was also killed by a truck while cycling along the same road.

“It made my hair stand on end….” said a police officer. “It
came to mind that perhaps someone from upstairs had a say in this.”

Having driven and ridden round Finland ourselves, we’d have to say the lack of traffic makes this bizarre story even more unlikely and ripe for a return from retirement for Mulder and Scully!
