Brant @ singlespeed specialists On-One has never been shy of curious promotional ideas, but his latest one is a belter.
If you sign up to the On-one mail update service, you win the chance of a ‘slap up’ Sunday feast with Brant and his family once every month as well as a delivery of free cake. Having been treated to Joanne’s cooking before we can assure you that’s a damn good reason to sign up pronto.
As well as the lure of home-made Yorkshire pud and gravy, On-one have been launching a whole new range of bikes recently. The Pompino is their 700c do anything on or off tarmac singlespeed cyclo cross / commute all-rouder, and new Inbreds with a Bushnell eccentric bottom bracket have also landed. By turning the eccentric you can tighten the chain without moving the rear wheel making disc brake set-up easy.
However, the undoubted cream of the current new arrivals is the titanium version of the Inbred singlespeed frame. This gets all the same eccentric bottom bracket and De Kerf style wishbone seatstay features as the steel inbred but with the added joys of sweet riding, non-corroding titanium.
For pictures of all this new gear, plus special offers on some sample frames Brant is selling off then get OnOne now.
In a bit of vaguely related news, sister company Planet-X have signed evergreen mountain bike star Nick Craig to ride for them this season on and off road. Nick will also be adding a valuable edge to their XC and Road bike development plans.
