Cycling brothers in training tragedy

Ricardo Ochoa was buried on Saturday after dying on the way to hospital after a collision with a car in Malaga. His brother and Kelme team mate Javier is still in a stable coma after undergoing operations on broken limbs, but doctors are still unsure of the extent of head, back and spinal column injuries. The pair were training together when they were hit by a car on a narrow road near Malaga in spain.

Meanwhile, on a happier note, Laurent Jalabert will be leaving hospital today, following treatment for three broken vertebrae caused by a fall while changing a lightbulb at home. “Ja-Ja” is still having difficulty walking due to bruising, but he will now continue his rest and recuperation at home rather than in hospital.
