The popular Twrch Trail at Cwmcarn (yes, it has a name other than just Cwmcarn) is now fully open again, after many weeks of logging operations meant some sections were closed. The logging has caused some damage to the trail, so there’ll be ongoing maintenance work to bring them up to scratch – quite possibly better than they were originally.
So the long singletrack climb is now back in action but the section of missing descent is back too to make up for it. Bear in mind that logging is still taking place in the forest away from the trail – take care if you’re riding away from the waymarked trail.
