Cannock Chase trail building group Chase Trails will be out building this Easter weekend, and volunteers are more than welcome. They’re working on a brand new singletrack on the Fair Oak Pools Trail on Friday and Sunday from 10am until 3pm.

If you’d like to help out, meet at the Birches Valley Visitor Centre at 10am on either day or if you’re running late head out to the work area which is approximately here – it’s about a 25 minute walk from the visitor centre so make sure you’re suitably shod. The Chase Trails guys have a selection of tools but there’s a lot of brush clearing to be done so if you possess a rake, take it along.
