Last year’s CLIC24 24 hour race was enough of a success that it’s happening again (only bigger) in 2003. The event raised £4500 for childrens’ leukaemia charity CLIC, and they’re aiming for £10,000 in 2003. All profits from the event will go to the charity.
Good news for riders in the south west – the course is just south of Bristol. The start is 3pm on 31 May 2002, leaving you nearly a month to recover before the Red Bull Mountain Mayhem. Apparently last year’s course was described as “the toughest 24hr lap in the UK”, and it’ll be added to for this year.
You can preregister for the event at www.clic24.org.uk – there’ll be more details about the event and the course on the site soon.
