Places are still available for the second round of the Chain Reaction Cycles MTB Marathon Series powered by Mercedes-Benz Vito Sport taking place in Builth Wells on the 22-23 May.
An action-packed weekend of riding is promised, with the Marathon taking place on Sunday proceeded by a host of other activities for people of all ages and abilities to try out on Saturday, including an XC dirt eliminator which will give kids the chance to race each other in groups of four.
Four riders will battle it out over a short course located at the rear of the event village, with the fastest two progressing to the next round. The XC Dirt Eliminator course will be also part of the 2010 Gore Bike Wear TransWales where the final special stage will be held at the very end of the week’s riding – so perfect chance to check it out if you are racing in the TransWales this summer.
Mixed in with the XC Dirt Eliminator will be Kids races on the same course including categories over- and under-12-year-olds. Entry to the XC Dirt Eliminator and kids race is free of charge, and it’s entry on the day only. Race action will start at 5pm on Saturday.
Sunday’s marathon will kick-off at 10am with four choices of distances. Course designer John has made use of the huge amount of trails and tracks to choose from and has created a completely different set of courses so that even the regular Builth Wells marathon riders will be pleased to have returned!
