Cannondale has announced that full-scale production of bikes at the Bedford, Pennsylvania factory has recommenced, with all production workers scheduled to return by March 11.
The factory all but closes down during the winter most years, but this year the company’s much-publicised financial woes forced a rather longer closure than usual. Luckily for Cannondale things came to a head at a time when they had plenty of bikes in stock so supply hasn’t been disrupted too much.
“Now that production is up-and-running, we’re looking forward to attacking the busy spring season with a single focus, renewed purpose, and a steady stream of Cannondale product,” said Cannondale’s Scott Montgomery. That “single focus” is bicycles, with the albatross-like motorsports division still suspended.
