It’s all change in the Midlands race scene. The original Midland Series organisers pulled out recently, but into the breach steps Shokwave-Racing, headed up by experienced race organiser Alan Verney.
What this means to the riders is that several of the dates have changed, but the entry fees have dropped a little, there are some new venues and there’s a Mountain Beach MTB holiday for two people to the Alps, Portugal or Greece up for grabs. Simply enter any of the races and you’ll be entered into the draw…

- Round 1 26/27 April Sherwood Pines, Clipstone, Notts
- Round 2 7/8 June Eastridge, Shropshire
- Round 3 & Midlands Champs 19/20 July Cannock Chase
- Round 4 16/17 August Wharncliffe Woods, Nr. Sheffield
- Round 5 6/7 September Sherwood Pines, Clipstone, Notts
Unusually, entries are on the line only, which certainly saves on planning ahead and allows last-minute decision making when the sun comes out.
