Finally the news we have all been waiting for! Having just spoken with Forest Enterprise I can bring you the news you have been waiting for that Aston Hill will be OPEN this weekend.
The Downhill Courses and the Duel will be fully open but the far end of the Cross-Country course will remain out of bounds for the duration of the F&M outbreak. The top section of the XC track and the Cross-Country Downhill are unaffected at present. We are also using the alternative push up path for the downhills, its steep but the plus side is you get to the top quicker (don’t forget to bring plenty of drinking water).
There are also a number disinfecting measures in place that must be complied with before you go riding. The area will only be open at weekends for the time being and Updates will keep you posted it there are any developments (We are hoping to extend those hours during the Easter Break).
With 2 weeks to go the Pedalhounds Downhill planned for the 15th April still hangs in the balance. Some good news on the racing front though with the announcement that the Pedalhounds Downhill at Willingshurst this Sunday is still on.
