This weekend’s World Cup round at Mont Sainte Anne, Canada, saw a mighty performance from UK downhillers. In the men’s event, defending champ Steve Peat came back from injury-hindered races in rounds one and two to win in Canada by just 0.06 seconds from Greg Minnaar. Series leader Cedric Gracia was third. Steve’s got his work to cut out to get to the top of the leaderboard, though – he’s currently lying in seventh place, 251 points back…
In the women’s category, it was a UK one-two, with Fionn Griffiths scoring her first World Cup win ahead of Tracy Moseley. Not much ahead, though – Fionn’s winning margin was just a tenth of a second. Tracy’s in the overall lead with two rounds to go, with Fionn in third. Good stuff…
