Winter is undoubtedly the hardest time of year to summon the motivation to leave the warmth of your house and head out into the cold darkness and ride your bike, but it’s the winter solstice today which means winter is drawing to a close.
OK, so we might be getting ahead of ourselves just a little, there’s still plenty of cold and rain to prepare for. But as today is the winter solstice, the shortest day of the year with tonight the longest night of winter, the days will begin to lengthen once again.
