A few weeks back we headed over to the beautiful little Welsh town of Hay-on-Wye. Hay is home to many a festival including the HowTheLightGetsIn Festival, and most famously the Hay Festival of Literature. But that’s not why we made the trip; a much different festival caught our attention, the Hay Bike Fest.
The Hay Bike Fest has just wrapped up its second ever festival and despite the bipolar British weather it turned out to be quite the success. The main venue was right in the centre of Hay, which consisted of a handful of stands, including shops, a café and more importantly a bar! Along with the stands there was also a skills pump track loop that was brought in, where the kids were learning the basics of pump track riding.
There were also a good number of events running throughout the weekend, which included bike maintenance workshops, guided rides, and also a dual slalom race. Here we’ve put together a photo gallery of our trip over to the festival.
