This is Helly Hansen’s new Tofino CIS jacket. While not designed for the particular demands of mountain biking, we all need a jacket before and after a ride, and this one fits the bill nicely.
Cunningly, concealed inside the HellyTech protective fabric outer shell is a removable Polartec fleece which has been seamlessly integrated in such a way that you might not notice there are two separate tops.
So the outer shell keeps rain and wind out while the fleece lining keeps you warm. Too hot? Simply remove the fleece and wear the jacket on its or, or vice versa.
There’s adjustable cuffs to rein the arms in and a hood, plus pit zips offer ventilation when it gets a bit steamy inside, and there are two zipped side pockets for stashing our hands away from the elements.
It’s available now in sizes S-XXL in ocean, bark brown and black colours for men and blackberry, bark brown, black and frosty colours for women. It’ll set you back £140.
