Head to the Dialled Bikes Rough Ride and you could win one of these or other Dialled frames
Further details are coming in of the forthcoming Dialled Bikes Rough Ride (Kington, Herefordshire; 4 June 2006). Perhaps most pertinently, the details of title sponsor Dialled Bikes’s grand frame giveaway have been finalised. Dialled supremo Mike will be stumping up three Prince Albert frames in Reynolds 520 tubing, three 853 Prince Albert frames and one Love/Hate singlespeedable frame as spot prizes. That’s a total retail value of something like two grand… The Rough Ride isn’t a race, so there’re no prizes for winning – frame winners will be drawn from a multitude of hats, and there’s guaranteed to be at least one woman and one junior rider amongst them. There’ll also be spot prizes from various other sponsors.
The course has also been pretty much finalised. The long route will actually be a whisker shorter than last year at about 73km, but it’ll incorporate some new bits of moorland trail. There’ll still be over 6,000ft of climbing, though. If you fancy something a little less meaty there’ll be a 40km option too.
What else? Free camping before and after, free post-ride meal from Wilf’s, t-shirt, on-course refreshments, tech support, route map, bike demos, changing facilities, hot showers (we’ll say that again – HOT SHOWERS!), event photographer and all the rest of it. Find out more at www.roughride.co.uk.
