Wales is already peppered with man-made trails, but something of a first is the new development of a skills trail at the Plas Menai National Centre in North Wales, a leading outdoor pursuits training centre. The 1km trail has been built at a cost of £30,000, and was designed by Simon Williams, whose accolades include the Fort William DH course.
The trail is entirely singletrack and caters for beginners up to advanced riders. Boulder fields, stone-pitched bermed corners, jumps, fast downhill sections and other interesting features should challenge and improve your skills.
The trail is open now. Training courses are available – visit www.plasmenai.co.uk for more information.
